Privacy at Found
Last updated 25 August 2026 · Found is operated by Ora ("we", "us").
Found is a matchmaking service. The whole product is built on you telling us
true things, so we treat what you tell us the way that deserves. The short
version: nothing you share becomes a public profile, nobody browses you, and we
only ever show another member what is needed for one introduction.
What we collect
- Application details: name, date of birth, sex, contact details
(WhatsApp number, email), location, background, faith, genotype, family and
relationship intentions. Some of this is sensitive by nature; we ask for it
because it is exactly what serious matchmaking requires, and only with your
consent given by providing it.
- Your onboarding conversation: your voice answers are transcribed,
and the transcript and a structured summary of it are stored. Audio is
processed to produce the transcript and is not retained as a recording.
- Photos: up to three, stored privately and shown only to a person
you have both said yes to, for a limited time, never to anyone else.
- Identity check: before any photo is shared, you verify who you
are with our identity partner, Didit: a government document and a short
selfie, which is matched against the document and against the photos you
gave us. This involves biometric data and happens only with your explicit
consent at that step. Didit holds the document and selfie; we keep only
that the check passed, whether the document's date of birth matched what
you told us, and whether your photos matched. We never see or store the
document itself.
- How things go: your responses inside the service (accepting or
declining an introduction, confirmations, feedback after calls and dates).
How we use it
- To decide whether we can admit you, and to verify who you are.
- To choose introductions for you, and to explain them to the other
person: a first name, age, city, what you do, your height if you gave
it, a few short lines drawn from your conversation with Ora (one of
them a short sentence in your own words), and, once a call is booked,
three suggested questions for them to ask you, written from what you
told us. Never your answers on intimacy, your history with anyone, your
health or your money. Photos are shared only after you both say yes.
- To arrange calls and dates, and to message you about them (WhatsApp,
email, or SMS).
- To improve how we match, including comparing outcomes across
introductions.
What we never do
- Publish a profile of you, anywhere, ever.
- Sell your data, or share it with advertisers.
- Show your answers to another member. They see only what an introduction
needs.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (database hosting, including photos) and
processed on Vercel (application hosting). Transcription, conversation
processing and the drafting of introduction wording use OpenAI as a
processor. Identity checks use Didit. Video calls run on Daily; we do not
record them. Payments are handled by Stripe, who see your card, not us.
Messages are delivered over WhatsApp (Twilio), email (Resend), or SMS
providers. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
Your rights
You can pause introductions or close your account and erase everything
we hold, yourself, from your name at the top of your card; closing asks for
a code sent to your verified number or inbox first. You can also ask us at
any time for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete
it. Write to hello@meetonfound.com
from the email you applied with. Depending on where you live, GDPR, UK GDPR,
Canadian PIPEDA, or the Nigerian NDPA give you these rights in law; we honour
them for everyone regardless.
Retention
We keep your data while you are a member or your application is open. If
you ask to leave, we delete your data except the minimal records we must keep
(for example payment records where the law requires them, and, only where a
member was removed for misrepresenting themselves or was reported by someone
we introduced them to, a one-way hash of their verified identity that
identifies nobody and exists so they cannot return under a new name).
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you directly
before it takes effect.
